Patrick Stafford: Journalist, copywriter, content marketer.
When I was four, I snatched a book out of my father's hands and firmly declared I would read it myself, thank you very much.
I've been obsessed with words ever since.
I'm a writer, journalist, podcast junkie and a producer of digital content.
My business, Stafford Content, provides copywriting and editing services for a variety of small and large businesses, including private clients.
Throughout my professional experience, whether as a digital producer at PwC, and as the Deputy Editor of SmartCompany.com.au - the largest online publication for SMEs in Australia - my work has been about communicating complex ideas for a specific audience.
My goal is this - to write and produce great, engaging and informative content, in a clear and entertaining way. Right now, I do that as a Digital Copywriter at MYOB.
I'm also a freelance journalist, mostly working in the videogames and entertainment space, with occasional wanderings into religion. My work has appeared in various publications including The Atlantic, Polygon, Christianity Today, EDGE, Eurogamer, Hyper, PC PowerPlay and Kotaku.
In 2014, I won the "Lizzie" Australian IT Journalism Award for Best Gaming Journalist. I also wrote a book about long-distance relationships. Check it out on Amazon.
I live in Melbourne, Australia, with my wife and son. I hate coffee.
